With the waters rising
Salty tears did fall
Not that it was surprising
She couln't take them all
She knew she had to choose
But she couldn't fight the pain
There was the one she had a duty to
Yet how could she leave the others in the rain
There was the one who was loyal to the end
Or the one she'd be attracted to forever
There was also the one who's heart she broke, but would always stay her friend
And what about the last one, who was as fragile as a feather
Thunder screamed out loud with its once welcome call
She felt the lightnig hissing in the distance
"Take one or kill them all"
Her burning heart wrenched at the horrible persistance
Who would she take
She could not decide
She knew every choice would be seen as a mistake
And she could not stand to see them cry
The tower fell down around her head
Her indecision cost her
Now they were all dead
And forever the guilt she would foster
She had the chance to choose
She's going to die of the pain
They were the ones she had a duty to
And she let them die in the rain
